SCOTTSBLUFF - Five people are injured, and two are in critical condition following an accident in Scotts Bluff County.

Sheriff Mark Overman says that deputies responded to the accident six miles north of Scottsbluff city limits around 12:08 AM Saturday morning. Deputies say the vehicle slid sideways and rolled a number of times through a ditch, across a driveway, and through a fence.

20-year-old Scottsbluff resident Elysabeth Dally and 29-year-old Joseph Montoya of Colorado were among the injured parties, and both were transported to Regional West Medical Center. The two other passengers, 20-year-old Jordan Emrick and 22-year-old Hannah Delcamp, were also injured in the crash.

The driver was identified as 22-year-old Zachery Adams of Scottsbluff, and deputies determined that Adams had been driving at a high rate of speed, and lost control of the vehicle. Adams was cited on charges of driving under the influence, driving under suspension, willful reckless driving, and possession of an open alcohol container.
