FALLS CITY - Strong to severe thunderstorms since Thursday caused the National Weather Service office in Valley to issue a flash flood watch for the southeast corner of Nebraska and northwest Missouri.
Severe storms, with wind gusts up to 60 MPH and quarter-size hail, moved through the region early Saturday morning. Warnings were issued for Pawnee City, Tecumseh, Peru and Hamburg, Iowa.

Minor flooding will continue on the Missouri River above Lewis and Clark Lake and from around Plattsmouth downstream past Rulo.
The entire area, including southwest Iowa, has a slight chance of severe weather Saturday night. Additional thunderstorms will be possible tonight. According to the National Weather Service, some storms could produce heavy rain, large hail and damaging winds - mainly between 8 p.m. and 3 a.m.
The highest chance of severe storms will be across South Dakota, northwest Iowa and extreme northeast Nebraska.
