A pregnant woman is expected to survive after she was shot in her home Sunday morning.

OMAHA - A pregnant woman is expected to survive after she was shot in her home Sunday morning.
According to a news release, officers responded to the shooting call in the 5100 block of 48th Avenue around 1:15 A.M and interviewed the victim, 33-year-old Jateira Austin, and an 11-year-old witness.
The witness told officers he heard someone enter the home and walk into Austin's room, where she was asleep.
The boy told police he tried to intervene with the suspect, who was armed with a handgun.
The witness retreated, and the suspect fired the gun, hitting Austin once in the arm.
Medics took Austin to the hospital.
Police have not shared a description of the suspect, and the investigation continues.
