MADISON, NE -- Residents of Madison are being urged to lock their doors and stay inside as law enforcement search for a man that left his court appearance today. That man is 21-year-old Pacey Nicklen. Authorities believe he is in the field immediately east of the courthouse. 

We do know that Nicklen was in drug court today. Sheriff Volk says it's likely that Nicklen had failed out of the system and was facing sentencing. The corn in the field police are searching is about seven feet tall and Volk says the search is physically taxing in the humidity.
