Police investigating death of Bellevue man and connection to Wednesday murder

LINCOLN - Lincoln Police said they are investigating the death of a 26-year-old Bellevue man to see if it is connected to the murder of a 34-year-old woman Wednesday morning.

26-year-old Martae Green was dropped off at Bryan West hospital around the time of the shooting of 34-year-old Audrea Craig on Wednesday.

Police say around 4 AM several people helped Green inside the emergency room, but left before officers arrived.

Medical staff pronounced Green dead soon after of apparent gunshots wounds.

Both vehicles seen at the hospital dropping Green off have been recovered by authorities.

Lincoln police says due to the time frame and the nature of the injuries, investigators are working to see if the two situations are related.
