GIBBON, NE -- It feels like deja vu this week for Gibbon residents like Marci Granados. Many were finally finishing restoring their homes from the historic March flood… when the high water came rushing into town again. Granados had finished repairing or replacing everything but three doors. Now she says she’s back at square one.

"It got all the electrical outlets, the electrical panel this time," Granados said.  "We had to rip out all the drywall and installation again, the flooring need to be replaced - everything we've done so far we have to do it all again."

Granados says she had over four feet of standing water in the house... a foot higher than in March. She says when the water runs higher, so do the emotions.

"There's definitely been a lot more tears this time," Granados said.

Granados says neighbors have helped pumped water from her house and some community members have donated money. She says all Gibbon residents can do now is keep chipping away and hope it's a long time before another flood.
