New caregiving business opens in northeast Nebraska
A new business opened its doors it northeast Nebraska Friday. Right at Home In-Home Care and Assistance held a grill-out to celebrate its opening in west Norfolk.
Owner Jeremy Starkel is a Norfolk-native and has a personal connection to the industry. Three years ago, his mother was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer. Starkel and his three sisters all pitched in to help her.
"So we know first-hand the stress it can cause with families and having to figure out 'who's taking mom to chemo today?' or 'who's going to be able to cook, clean and provide those daily essential functions,?'" Starkel said. "Just knowing that and living that, it feels good to be able to give back to other people in need."
Starkel said the company provides in-home care to all northeast Nebraska. According to Starkel, Right at Home's coverage stretches from O'Neill to South Sioux City and from Schuyler to the South Dakota border.
If you're in need of a caregiver for a loved-one, you can visit their new location on North 34th street in Norfolk or visit their website at rightathome.net/norfolk.
