SYRACUSE – The 11th annual Viener Dog Races are scheduled at the Syracuse Germanfest on Saturday, July 13.

Races at 303 Railroad Ave. begin at 9:30 a.m. Race divisions are Lil Smokies under 11 pounds, brats 12 pounds and over and senior long dog, for dogs that are young at heart.

Half of the $10 entry fee goes to the Nebraska Dachshund Rescue.

The Abendessen traditional German meal is scheduled at the Syracuse Senior Center at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 11.

A Co-ed sand volleyball tournament begins Friday at 6:30 p.m.

The Heimat Tazer dancers are scheduled for the FestKeg inside the Kastens Ford building at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Doors open for the BlackHawk concert at 5:40 p.m.
