Driver Charged After Crash Into 11th Street Fire Hydrant
Woman Says She Was Defending Her Children

NEBRASKA CITY – A 25-year-old Talmage woman has been charged with domestic assault and willful reckless driving on July 4.
Sheriff deputies were in the Burger King parking lot in Nebraska City when they saw a GMC Yukon backing on 11th Street, hitting a stop sign and fire hydrant.
The GMC then went forward across the street to the Toddy Shop, where there was a fight with a man, identified as her former husband.
Chastity Pierce told investigators she was acting out of defense of her children.
