Mayor Declares National Night Out Aug. 6

FALLS CITY - On June 17, Mayor Shawna Bindle proclaimed Aug. 6 as 2019 National Night Out in Falls City.

The declaration invites citizens to join police at Stanton Lake Park from 6 to 8 p.m. on Aug. 6.

A police Facebook posts say they hope the event will build a stronger relationship between first responders and the citizens.

Mayor Bindle called upon all neighbors of Falls City to take part in the National Association of Town Watch.

Event highlights include a free cookout and games at the lake and a hayrack ride to the aquatic park for free swimming from 8 to 10 p.m.
