District Judge Rick Schreiner noted that Forke was sentenced in 2002 to a 6-to-8- year prison term for distribution of an illegal drug…with two probation terms given before that.
Judge Schreiner said a second substance found by authorities, totaling 20-point-seven grams, tested negative for meth.

Forke told the judge she did not remember making that statement, contained in the pre-sentence report. The judge said he spends considerable time with defendants before him, charged or convicted of drug possession.

Schreiner said the motive for the offense can only be profit, and it affects the community "horribly". Schreiner said he reduced the sentence he gave from an 8-to-10-year term but resolved the case with a lesser amount of time after hearing the argument Forke's attorney made, in court.
Forke appeared at sentencing in a wheelchair, because of health issues.
