Two Arrested at Camp Site Northeast of Beatrice

BEATRICE - Law officers have arrested a couple living in a camper, after a narcotics investigator and sheriff's deputy was assisting Nebraska Probation with a search.
The arrests were made at a camper located at Bear Lake, northeast of Beatrice, late Wednesday morning.
Authorities arrested 37-year-old Jerome Beck on suspicion of possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a gun by a prohibited person, drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. 33-year-old Carrie Beck was arrested for drug and drug paraphernalia possession.

During a search of the camper, officers found a red bag containing a crystal substance, testing positive as methamphetamine. A syringe was also located.
Officers learned from Jerome Beck that another man was at the camper two days before, with three firearms the man said he had stolen. Beck said the man, identified as Dakota Erks, spent the night in the camper with the weapons locked in his van.

Beck told authorities Erks had fired weapons at the lake. Authorities found spent ammunition around the camper and the area. Erks is being held in the Gage County Jail for alleged possession of stolen firearms.
Jerome Beck was convicted of a felony, in November 2016….and was placed on probation in April, for a two-year period.
