WAYNE, NE - Calling all beer-drinking, limerick-writing, literature lovers! The John G. Neihardt State Historical Site and Foundation is hosting its 11th Annual Neihardt Beer and Limerick Festival on Sunday. The event is from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at Johnny Byrd Brewing in Wayne.

The Historical Site's website says the event will offer samples of about 30 different Nebraska beers. The event is open to people 21 and older with a $25 fee. The limerick contest is haled as the, “most hilarious contest for beer-related limericks west of the Missouri.”

Those who can't attend can still participate, just send $25 to purchase a ticket and mail a limerick to the Neihardt State Historic Site, PO Box 344, Bancroft, NE 68004 before June 5th to be included.
