Stanton County Man Appears in Court on Motor Vehicle Homicide Charge
STANTON, NE - A Stanton County man will face a pre-trial conference in August related to a motor vehicle homicide charge.
Stanton County Sheriff Mike Unger says 19-year-old Ried Krutz made his initial court appearance on the charge on Tuesday.
Authorities say Krutz was driving westbound on Highway 24 east of Norfolk around 7:00 a.m. on May 6th. His vehicle crossed the center line and collided head-on with a vehicle driven by 63-year-old Jim Hoff of Norfolk. Hoff was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sheriff Unger says Krutz is scheduled to appear to return to county court for a pre-trial conference in August.
