A line of severe thunderstorms in southeast Nebraska and northeastern Kansas spawned a number of tornado sightings Tuesday evening.

A large, wedge tornado was spotted near Dawson, Nebraska around 8 p.m. The same tornado was also seen near Bern, KS as well as Stella and Auburn, NE.

The tornado touched down in very rural areas, and there was no damage reported in southeast Nebraska as of Tuesday night.

In Kansas meanwhile, it's estimated seven tornadoes touched down there. There were reports of a touchdown near Oneida just after 7 p.m. with another sighting east of Sabetha. Two homes were damaged near Seneca, but no injuries were reported.

There were also reports of downed power lines east of Seneca on Highway 36.
