NEBRASKA CITY – Nebraska City junior football player Wyatt Roberts had the qualities Blue-Grey All-American Combine officials wanted: strength, speed, determination and the will to improve.
The 6’3″ offensive/defensive lineman was invited to the All-American Super Combine at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on June 29-30. The event features top recruits from across the United States competing in lifting drills, including squat and bench press, and running events, such as the 5-10-5 shuttle and 40-yard dash.
“I’m extremely excited for an opportunity like this,” Roberts said. “Any chance for me to improve and put my name out there is something I’ll always be excited for.”
Roberts participated in a regional combine at the Kansas City Chiefs training facility in St. Joseph, Missouri in April. He’ll mainly focus on the offensive line at the national combine.
“I don’t want my career to end after high school,” Roberts said. “These combines and other football events really get my name out there and get college scouts looking at me. Plus, they’re really fun and you meet amazing people.”
Several prospects competing at one of the six national combines will be invited to play in one of four All-American Bowls.
