NORFOLK - Residents of the Madison House in Norfolk are in the process of being moved to a new facility due to flooding.
In a statement made by Executive Director Monique Tunender, she confirmed the evacuation. Staff will be moving residents Wednesday to the Norfolk Care and Rehabilitation Center.
In the statement, Tunender says they will provide additional information when it becomes available.

"The safety and well-being of our residents and team members is our top priority. Due to heavy rains and flooding that have occurred in our area, we are in the process of evacuating our residents and community team to a dry location. Norfolk Care and Rehab has generously offered the use of their facility to house our residents and staff. We will provide additional information, as appropriate, when it becomes available."
