Auger Accident Sends EMS Personnel to Liberty Area

BEATRICE - Fire and Rescue personnel from three departments were sent to a farm accident Saturday morning, near Liberty.
A Beatrice Fire Captain says a man's leg became caught in a grain auger. The accident happened at a farm along South 176th Road, sending Wymore, Barneston and Beatrice personnel to the scene to extricate the victim.
He was flown by a medical helicopter to Bryan LGH West Medical Center in Lincoln. His identity and condition are not immediately known.
The Beatrice Fire Captain says department personnel got the call at about 11:24 a.m.
