NORFOLK - City officials in Norfolk aren't taking any chances with the snow Tuesday.

The City of Norfolk has declared a snow emergency in effect from 6 p.m. Tuesday through 9 a.m. Wednesday.

That means parking is allowed only on the even side of the streets. No parking is allowed in cul-de-sacs or in Norfolk's snow emergency route. Citations will be issued to those that don't abide by the snow emergency rules. Those parked along the emergency route could get towed.

Norfolk's snow emergency route is: Benjamin Avenue; Norfolk Avenue (except the downtown area); Omaha Avenue; 1st Street; 7th Street; 13th Street; 25th Street; Pasewalk Avenue; Elm Avenue from 1st to 4th Street; Koenigstein Avenue from 13th to 16th Street; and Prospect Avenue from 4th to 25th Street
