BEATRICE - Travelers along West Court Street have likely noticed the new electronic message board that's been installed at the Gage County Historical Museum.
The sign is within a fenced in area where a train caboose is located, along the north side of the highway.
Museum Administrator Megan Sothan says just installing it was a big of a trick in the wintry weather…and there's still some work to do, to get it ready for use.

The goal was to make it very visible along the highway, but it's position also gives motorists a good look at it, traveling 2nd, the brick street in front of the museum.
Sothan says the message board will promote both the museum and events around the area.

The project was part of a larger capital project and campaign that made improvements along North 2nd Street and on the Gage County Museum grounds.
Sothan says the historical society is also conducting a capital campaign where donors can have bricks inscribed in the east walkway to the museum.
