Northeast hosts 37th annual Jazz Festival

NORFOLK - Northeast Community College hosted the 37th annual Jazz Festival today, bringing in almost 80 different high school Jazz bands and show choirs from across the state to perform songs and celebrate Jazz.
Four teams from each level and style were awarded trophies. Judges also reward individuals for outstanding solos, but for Judge Darin Wadley, the festival is about a lot more than just picking a winner.
Bands and choirs from across the state performed over the course of Monday and Tuesday, with Junior High schools and smaller high schools coming out Monday, and bigger high schools competing Tuesday.
