North Star tops Lincoln Southwest to win first HAC Tournament Championship in school history

LINCOLN, Neb. —  The Lincoln North Star volleyball program made history on Thursday night.

The Gators defeated Lincoln Southwest 3-1 (25-19, 18-25, 25-22, 25-17) to claim their first Heartland Athletic Conference Tournament championship in program history.

Lincoln North Star had three attackers hit double-digit kills on the night. Delainey Volkmer led the way with 18, Lauren McKernan added 15 and Elise Schmidt had 12.

Alivia Gustafson led Lincoln Southwest's attack with 14 kills while Piper Bellamy also hit double-digits with 12.
