Scholarship Opportunities Fair Sunday at Fairbury Elks Lodge

FAIRBURY, Neb — The Fairbury Elks Lodge No. 1203 will host a free “Scholarship Opportunities for Students” fair Sunday, Oct. 5, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the lodge, 525 G St. in Fairbury.

The open house is open to students in grades 4 through 12, as well as parents, grandparents, guardians, teachers and school counselors.

The event will feature information on contests and awards sponsored by the Elks, including scholarships for essays, posters, speeches, academic achievement and financial need. Representatives from local service clubs, businesses and organizations will also be on hand to share details about their scholarship programs.

Organizers said the event is designed as a come-and-go fair where families can browse opportunities, ask questions and enjoy refreshments.
