KEARNEY, Neb.- A Kearney elementary school is celebrating as they get named the top school in Nebraska.

SchoolDigger.com ranked 248 public elementary schools in the state, concluding that Meadowlark Elementary is #1.

The other 9 in the top 10 are in the Omaha metro.

Meadowlark Principal Mark Stute, who has led the school since 2006, attributes the school’s success to its dedicated and passionate staff.
