LINCOLN, Neb. — The Lincoln Christian Crusaders survived a ferocious comeback effort from Gothenburg to defeat the Swedes 64-51 on Friday morning.
 
The win advances the defending champion Crusaders to the Class C-1 State title game for the second-straight season.
 
Lincoln Christian got off to a slow start and didn’t score for nearly four minutes. Once the offense clicked, the Crusaders built a halftime lead of 34-18. Christian held a 15-point advantage heading to the fourth quarter and had limited the Swedes without a made three-pointer to that point. Then Gothenburg caught fire. The Swedes used steals and three-pointers to tie the game at 49-49. Lincoln Christian regained its composure and finished the game on a 15-2 run to secure the win.
 

Mattea Kassebaum led Lincoln Christian with 22 points and broke the program's single season scoring record held by Chloe Dvorak.

Alex Beveridge led Gothenburg with 19 points in the defeat.
