Pierce did that Friday, using old-fashioned Blue Jay bully ball to beat Wayne 41-21.

Pierce rushed for 438 yards as a team, eclipsing their previous season-high of 348 in week one against Aurora.

The Blue Jay defense withstood a Wayne passing attack that moved the ball well, but struggled finishing drives, with two different drives stalling on fourth down in the Pierce red zone.

The win ended a four-game losing streak for the Blue Jays - a streak that came against teams with a combined 21-3 record coming into Friday.

The loss for Wayne was their fourth straight.
