BLOOMFIELD - For the first time in nine years, the Bloomfield Bees have won a game as a Class D1 football program.

The Bees wore down Tri County Northeast, rolling to a 36-6 win over the Wolfpack in their home opener.

Bloomfield racked up 304 yards on the ground, using their size up front to open holes for their athletic backfield twosome of Braeden Guenther and Brock Jeannoutot.

The Bees' defense did well keeping TCNE from sustaining momentum. Twice in the third quarter, the Wolfpack drove into the Bloomfield red zone, only for both series to end on fourth down.

Bloomfield returned to Class D1 this year after eight seasons as a Class D2 school.
