KEARNEY, Neb. - The #9 Nebraska-Kearney volleyball team notched eight ace serves and dispatched of Fort Hays St. in straight sets on Tuesday night.

The Lopers (14-1) took the match 25-18, 25-15, 25-14. In addition to excelling at the service line, UNK also impressed in serve receive. They only surrendered one ace to the Tigers (6-8).

Peyton Neff keyed the offense and defense for the Lopers. The sophomore setter dished out 35 assists, racked up a team-high six blocks and handled seven digs. UNK outblocked the Tigers 11 to 4 and hit .312 compared to .108.

UNK heads on the road next and will play at Newman on Saturday. The next NCN telecast of UNK volleyball is against Emporia State on Oct. 24.
