FREMONT - The Norfolk Panthers came out running and never let their foot off the gas in a 35-6 win over Fremont Friday night.

The Panther D forced a 3-and-out from the Tigers on the first drive of the game, then proceeded to march down the field on their first offensive possession, with Hudson Waldow punching it in from 8 yards out.

On the next Norfolk drive, the Panthers found themselves pinned at their own 14-yard-line following a good Fremont punt, but no matter. Rowdy Bauer took the pitch and romped 86 yards to the house on the first play of the drive for a 14-0 Norfolk lead.

Waldow would add in a 28-yard TD, Bauer returned the 2nd-half kickoff 90 yards for a score, and QB C.J. Hoffman hit Coleson Barritt for a 22-yard touchdown to complete the scoring. The Panther defense dominated throughout, forcing two turnovers and not allowing Fremont into the end zone until midway through the 4th quarter.

Norfolk (3-1) returns home to face Omaha Westside next week, while Fremont (1-4) hosts Grand Island.
