NORFOLK - Nebraska's premier all-star football game has a new home.

The Shrine Bowl of Nebraska will be exclusively televised on News Channel Nebraska this summer, marking the beginning of a multi-year agreement between the locally-owned television network and The Shrine Bowl's Board of Directors.

"It is a no-brainer for us," Nebraska Shrine Bowl Executive Director Dave MacDonald explains. "We get to have people watch it on TV across the state, but we also get to help educate and promote what our philanthropy is as well as our fraternity."

In addition to the game being televised on News Channel Nebraska, the Shrine Bowl will be broadcast statewide on NCN's radio network partners and streamed online at NewsChannelNebraska.com.

"We couldn't be more excited about this partnership," Flood Communications CEO Andy Ruback states. "News Channel Nebraska is dedicated to covering high school sports all-across the state, and the Nebraska Shrine Bowl is a big deal. NCN is going to give it the attention and coverage it deserves."

The 64th Shrine Bowl of Nebraska will be played at the University of Nebraska-Kearney's Ron and Carol Cope Stadium on Saturday, June 4th.

"We're excited and looking forward to being able to work with NCN to get going this year, but also grow and look forward to the opportunities moving into the future, even beyond 2022," MacDonald adds.

All proceeds from the Shrine Bowl are given to Shriners Hospitals which provide advanced, specialized care for all children referred to them regardless of a family's ability to pay for treatment.
