The Guardian Angel Central Catholic Bluejays girls just keep winning, taking down the Pierce Bluejays 34-29 on Thursday night.

GACC (22-1) came into the matchup on an 11-game winning streak and after on half of basketball, it looked like Pierce (16-8) was prepared to pull off an incredible upset at home as GACC led by just four.

GACC and Pierce would stay neck and neck throughout the third quarter and the early part of the fourth, until GACC iced the game with clutch free-throw shooting.

The second ranked Bluejays from Guardian Angels were led by Livia Hunke in scoring with 9 points, all coming from beyond the three point line. Kelsey Steffen racked up 6 and Sophia Hass finished with 5.

For Pierce, Morgan Moeller and Elly Piper tied for the lead in scoring with 11 points in the tight loss to the second ranked Bluejays.

This was the last regular season game for GACC and Pierce, as they will prepare for the Sub-District Semi's for the start of post-season basketball.
