Humphrey/Lindsay Holy extends win streak with first East Husker title
The Bulldogs dominated the second half of their 54-38 win over Howells-Dodge
FREMONT - Class C2 #1 Humphrey/Lindsay Holy's senior class has accomplished almost everything in their career, but one goal remained unfulfilled until Saturday...a conference championship.
The defending Class D1 champs took down rival - and last year's runner-up in D1 - Howells-Dodge 54-38 on Saturday to win the East Husker Conference tournament for the first time.
The game was closely contested until the Bulldogs started hitting their outside shots in a 16-2 run over the third and fourth quarters that helped them pull away.
The win is Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family's 24th in a row, a streak that includes three wins over Howells-Dodge.
