#2 Wayne rolls through #7 Battle Creek to advance to Mid State Conference Semifinals

The Blue Devils jumped out to an early lead in the first half thanks to an all out scoring attack from the likes of Tanner Walling, Brandon Bartos and Sedjro Agoumba.
At halftime, Wayne led Battle Creek 31-15, and the lead only grew from there.
Near the end of the third quarter, Wayne would get up to as large of a lead as 24 points, before both teams would eventually substitute starters and begin to allow some experience and playing time for other players.
This allowed the Blue Devils to hold on to an impressive 58-42 in front of their home crowd.
Tanner Walling led Wayne in scoring with 17, but followed closely by Sedjro Agoumba with 15 and Brandon Bartos with 12.
For Battle Creek, Hunter Oestreich finished with 12 points in the Brave's loss.
Wayne continues to have an impressive year, improving to 18-2 on the season. They will look to continue their success against the #3 seeded O'Neill Eagles on Friday night for a chance to play in the Mid State Conference Tournament Championship.
Battle Creek drops to 6-12 on the season and will look to regroup against the #6 Pierce Bluejays on Friday night in Pierce.
