News Channel Nebraska became aware of the posts Friday morning. School officials from Sidney, Potter-Dix and Creek Valley all said they were aware of the posts and had no evidence of any threats being made toward their schools.
Cheyenne County Sheriff Adam Frerichs said they had officers at all schools in the county, including Leyton, Potter and Sidney and reported no evidence of threats against the schools.
Frerichs said members of the Sidney Police Department were also at Sidney schools Friday morning as a precaution. Dix Elementary had a Kimball County Deputy present while a Deuel County Deputy was at Creek Valley High School this morning.
According to a report from the Associated Press on the topic, the TikTok posts warned that multiple schools around the country would receive shooting and bomb threats Friday.
