BEATRICE - The Beatrice boy's and girls are both still undefeated.

As was the case last Thursday at Crete, the girls game was much closer than the boys. The Lady Orange won by a score of 26-22 to improve to 3-0 on the year -- they allowed just two points in the fourth quarter to secure the win. Despite not hitting shots and series of suffering a 14-0 run from the Trojans, Beatrice would cruise from there on out, outscoring Platteview 21-8 the rest of the way.

On the day her sister Mak, a former Lady Orange basketball player turned Doane Tiger, received GPAC Player of the Week, Addie Hatcliff leads the game with 10 points.

On paper, one would be led to believe the boys game would be a fourth quarter battle. That was not the case. Even though star guard Connor Millikan would drop a game high 27, the Orangemen improve to 4-0, knocking off the Trojans 59-44 -- their third straight double-digit win in as many games.

Beatrice would lead by seven at the half, and Elliot Jurgens and Tucker Timmerman would take over in the fourth quarter. They led Beatrice in scoring with 20 and 15 respectively.

Next up for Beatrice is a doubleheader this Saturday at Elkhorn North.
