O'NEILL - O'Neill took advantage of a slow start by Adams Central, opening Saturday's game on a 9-0 run and never trailing in a 55-36 win.

The Eagles were playing their first game in eight days, but didn't look rusty at all, particularly shooting the long-ball. O'Neill shot 5-of-12 from beyond the arc in the first half, helping them build a 17-point lead at the break.

Adams Central struggled with their shot from the beginning, missing their first seven attempts, and managing just 13 points over the first three quarters before finally finding their shot in the fourth quarters.

This was the fourth time these teams had played in the last two calendar years, and the first time that O'Neill got the win.
