ALBION, Neb. -- Albion held its annual Holiday Light Parade this Thursday featuring a host of vehicles, Christmas characters, and even Santa.

The parade had children and adults alike lining up along the street to wave at cars and catch a glimpse of the man in red. According to Albion Chamber President Lori Krohn the event has gotten bigger and bigger each year.

"It has grown, everyone in town really looks forward to it," Krohn explained. "It's talked about all year long what everyone is going to do for the next year."

While the light parade is over, the festivities are not. The city is holding a Super Shopping Saturday on December fourth at 10 a.m., there the first 50 to arrive will receive a shopping bag filled with coupons and Chamber Cash. At the same time, the Mistletoe Market will be held downtown as well, featuring carriage rides and visits with Santa Claus.
