HOLDREGE, Neb. -- A south central Nebraska man has been found not guilty by reason of insanity for the shooting deaths of two people.

Forty-eight-year-old Manuel Gomez of Holdrege appeared in court Monday.

He was facing charges of first-degree murder for the shooting deaths of Raymond Burton and David Rogers.

A third man was also shot and injured.

Since his arrest Gomez has undergone mental evaluations.

A hearing is set for Tuesday to determine whether or not he's currently a danger to himself or others.
