Beatrice Lady Orange follow conference title with district golf championship

BEATRICE – The Beatrice Girl’s Golf team is headed to the class-B state tournament, following a team victory in the class B-1 District held at Beatrice Country Club, Monday.

The Lady Orange finished first with a team total of 402, four shots in front of Norris, and five in front of Nebraska City.  Both the Lady Titans and Pioneers also qualified as teams, for state competition.

Individually, Beatrice’s Kiera Pacquette won the district title with an 87.  Nebraska City’s Ella Welsh finished second, with a 90….and Maddie Nielsen, for the Lady Orange, finished in third with a 91.

Waverly, Ashland-Greenwood and Platteview each qualified a golfer for the state tournament with top-ten finishes.

Beatrice recently won the Trailblazer Conference girl’s golf title.
