OMAHA -- The Women's Fund of Omaha is hosting their annual "Lead the change" fundraiser Oct. 28 at CHI Health Center, starting at 11:30 a.m. The fundrasiser will be both virtual, in-person, and recorded.

The 'Me Too' Movement Founder, Tarana Burke, will give a speech and give out copies of her book.

"We want a world in which women are free from gender-based oppression. So, Tarana can really talk about how her journey has been in terms of believing survivors, enabling survivors," Giles said.

Proceeds go to research and solutions for gender inequity.

Executive Director Jo Giles said goals for the organization in this coming year include filling the gender pay gap; encouraging sex education; and providing resources to victims of abuse.
