Minor injuries reported after multi-vehicle crash shuts down I-80

AURORA, Neb. -- A multi-vehicle crash on I-80 halted westbound traffic between Aurora and Henderson for over an hour Thursday morning. The accident resulted in minor injuries.
Hamilton County Sheriff Jeromy McCoy says calls came in just before 9:30 a.m. about an accident between Hampton and Henderson. McCoy says a vehicle rear-ended another vehicle and was then hit by a third vehicle.
Two cars were pushed into the median. Three remained in the westbound lane, and a semi ended up crossing the eastbound lanes.
McCoy says three people were taken to the hospital for minor injuries. They have since been treated and released.
Witnesses on the scene said a semi and multiple other vehicles were involved.
Construction was just being finished with westbound traffic down to just one lane when the accident occurred.
