HAMILTON COUNTY, Neb. -- An accident caused authorities to shutdown portions of the interstate for over two hours this weekend.
Hamilton County Sheriff Jeromy McCoy said a Ford pickup was pulling a trailer filled with groceries when it was struck from behind by a semi Saturday night.
The semi jackknifed at the 328 bridge and hit a guardrail in the westbound lanes near mile marker 328.
Authorities reported the pickup was totaled, and food that was in the trailer covered the interstate.
It took crews two and a half hours to clean up the road and remove the vehicles.
Authorities say no charges or citations were filed.
