Robbery attempt thwarted by power outage

Police in Lincoln say an attempted robbery was halted by a power outage.

LINCOLN -- Police in Lincoln say an attempted robbery was thwarted by a power outage.

Lincoln Police say a man came into the U-Stop on 12th Street around 4:00 a.m. Friday morning.

The 41-year-old clerk told police that the man had a knife and demanded money. However, the power went out in the store and the register couldn't be opened.

The investigation is ongoing.
