New paintings, sculptures for sale at Norfolk Arts Center
New sculptures, paintings, and potential decorations for your home are available in town at the Norfolk Arts Center.
NORFOLK -- It's the first full week of a new exhibit at the Norfolk Arts Center.
Two artists are featured, according to program coordinator Elley Coffin. One is Tessa Paterson, who started off her art career by painting those who'd impacted her life.
"You can see the brushstroke of the artist which adds to the movement, but then she pushed it even further and adds these outline figures which show the movement of the subject," Coffin said.
The second artist, Eric Stearns, contributed a set of 40 sculptures. He finished the collection just a week before the opening, Thursday.
The center reached out to both artists a year ago for the partnership. The pieces are for sale, with proceeds going to both the artist and center. Five sculptures have been sold already.
The exhibit runs until Thanksgiving when a metal artist and a painter will replace them.
