Tecumseh's underdog story continues
Tecumseh Post 2 has battled through both Districts and the opening rounds at the Class C state tournament.
PALMER- Tecumseh began Districts as the three-seed in Class C Area 5, but now they sit as one of the last six teams remaining in Class C.
Initially, Tecumseh's route to the Class C state tournament was in the air as they were the three-seed in the Class C Area 5 District tournament. However, Tecumseh hasn't played like a traditional three-seed. Post 2 opened up District play with a win against the two-seeded BDS squad 12-4, and used that momentum to face one-seeded Alma.
The first time Alma and Tecumseh met in District play, Tecumseh edged out Alma 2-1 by taking the lead in the sixth inning. The second time would be for the District crown.
Alma got on the scoreboard first, 1-0, but Tecumseh was right on their tails. Post 2 scored three runs in the top of the second inning and then another five runs in the fifth to win 12-5 and punch their ticket to state.

17-11 Tecumseh opened state play as the underdog to 23-8 SOS Rebels Senior team. SOS Rebels used the fourth and the fifth inning to overtake Tecumseh and win 5-1 in the opening round for Class C.
Tecumseh moved into the loser's bracket and played Imperial to play an all-time classic matchup.
Imperial was first to claim the lead in the third inning, making it 1-0. In the fifth inning, Imperial increased the slim lead by three more runs to make it 4-0.
Tecumseh's story was not fulled written, though. Post 2 scored two runs in the fifth, sixth, and seventh innings to tie the game up at six apiece.
In the bottom of the ninth the tie would be broke. Tecumseh's Troy Hulthus smashed one to left field to score the game deciding run. Tecumseh advanced 7-6 and moved into the final six remaining in Class C.

Tecumseh will play again today, Aug. 2nd, against PWG, on B103 with a chance to make it to the Class C semifinals.
