Mask mandate, vaccine recommendation passed by Winnebago Tribal Council
A mask mandate has been reinstated on the Winnebago Reservation.
WINNEBAGO, Neb. -- A mask mandate has been reinstated on the Winnebago Reservation.
According to the tribe's announcement, the mandate requires people to wear a mask to enter a public building or business.
The decision was made at Monday's Tribal Council meeting, with the resolution passing on a 6-to-1 vote. Brian Chamberlain was the lone dissenter.
The resolution also recommended -- though it did not require -- that tribal members aged 12 or older get vaccinated for COVID-19.
