Nebraska City Announces First Annual "Treestock"
NEBRASKA CITY- Baseball, fireworks, and a beer garden. These are just a few of the events that will be on hand at Steinhart Park for the first annual Nebraska City Treestock on July 3rd. Nebraska City Tourism and Commerce announced the event in the latest Hot Topics meeting, and also added musical performances from Hector Anchondo, among others.
“We wanted to capitalize on all of the people that come to Nebraska City for the Fourth of July,” Tourism and promotions coordinator Tammy Partsch said. “So, we wanted to create this concert filled with different types of music. We have a folk group, a country group, an R&B, and we have a jazz/latin/blues group too.”
Partsch says that the committee acknowledges people coming from all over Nebraska for fireworks, and that the city should make an event catered to that.
“It’s an entire full day of fun activities and music for the entire family happening on July 3rd,” Partsch said.
Partsch also said that the committee’s main goal aside from a successful first Treestock is creating a safe, family environment for locals and also for those stopping in for the jam-packed weekend.
