Mitchell Dominates Kimball Golf Invite

KIMBALL - The Mitchell boys golf team placed all five golfers in the top-10, including the two top spots, to easily outdistance the field and win the Kimball High School Golf Invitational on Friday. The Tigers team score of 324 was 36 shots better than second place Bridgeport, and 48 strokes ahead of third place Sidney.

Cael Peters took top honors with a 75 followed by teammate Austin Thyne with a 78. Mitchell’s Jaron Anderson was fifth with an 85 and fellow Tigers Ashtyn Martin and Mykin Marco were seventh and eighth respectively with 86s.

Brady Newkirk of Bridgeport came in third with an 81, while Morrill’s Brody Brown was fourth at 85.
