Garden County Sheriff arrested

The person in charge of the Garden County Sheriff's Office has been arrested, according to the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP). 

NSP Spokesperson Cody Thomas says troopers arrested Michelle Quinn for third degree domestic assault on Tuesday. 

According to Thomas, troopers were asked by Garden County Sheriff's deputies to assist with responding to a reported assault near the intersection of Highways 26 and 92. When troopers arrived they were asked to take over as primary investigators. 

After investigation, Thomas said troopers believed Quinn had assaulted the adult passenger of her vehicle while driving in Keith County. 

Quinn was lodged in Keith County Jail.
