Flood warnings issued in eastern Nebraska

OMAHA, Neb. -- Heavy rains on Sunday have forecasters warning residents about rising waters. The National Weather Service has issued flood warnings in Gage, Saline, Seward, Butler and Polk Counties.
Multiple rivers are forecast to rise above flood state at some point over the next few days, with the Lincoln Creek already swelling past its banks near Seward along with the Turkey Creek near Wilber.
Portions of the Elkhorn, Big Blue and Platte Rivers are also expected to rise over the flood stage later this week.
There were widespread reports of at least four inches of rain on Sunday in southern Nebraska, with storm spotters in Hastings reporting six inches of rain.
